SUMMARY:Five years on: unmasking the pandemic
DESCRIPTION:Register at: https://bit.ly/5yearsca \nCovid has been with us for more than 5 years. \nThe failure of government and systems ended the lives of many who we mourn \nIt has deeply affected the lives of many of us who are reading this.\nSome of us are shielding\, others have Long Covid. \nSome of us see parallels between campaigns over Covid and other issues that have affected us from the way older and disabled people are viewed to organizing around HIV/AIDS \nSome of us came into activity for the first time during this pandemic \nMost of us are infuriated that even when the anniversaries have been marked mainstream media treat this as a history lesson not an ongoing fight for accountability over disastrous policies and practices together with clean air and other protections for today and the future. \nWe continue to assert that Covid isn’t over – as well as that improvements now are likely to useful for other similar\, and inevitable pandemics \nThat’s why the campaign call we are organizing on May 12 is so important. Joan Twelves will lead a discussion on these issues and more. \nWe want to hear the voices of everyone on this list.\nWhat should be our priorities for the Future?\nHow can we be more effective? \nIf you cant make it email your thoughts to: info@covidaction.uk ideally before the meeting
