Desmond Whyms has been a Public Health specialist for over 30 years, initially in the NHS, followed by posts in South America, Asia, Africa and with the UN in Geneva and EU in Brussels. Following early retirement in 2021, he recently worked as a consultant on the three UNGA high-level declarations on Universal Health Coverage, TB and Pandemic Accord.
